workshops, competitions, shows and dancing.

1st Trophy, + £2,000 prize money

ENTRY FEES: £55 per dancer, FREE if you purchase a FULL WEEKEND PASS

Alex Da Silva, born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, started dancing at a very early age. He was introduced to salsa dancing at the age of 20. Alex taught in San Francisco for eight years to over 15,000 people. He then headed for Hollywood and soon hit the salsa clubs in Los Angeles. While both working and teaching, he gained recognition through his magical, captivating and hypnotic salsa dance moves. He became famous to celebrities and production companies both as an instructor and as a choreographer. His dancing attracts people from all walks of life including celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Love Hewitt, P. Diddy and Will Smith. 90% of the salsa instructors teaching today were trained by Alex. Alex is also 3 Times Mayan World Salsa Champion.

Abel & Zulmara, winners the 2007 ESPN World Salsa Championships in Orlando last December 16, 2007 in the "On-One" category. The dynamic dancing couple successfully defended their title as 'On-One' ESPN World Salsa Champions in Orlando last December for their third consecutive time at this event.

Starlinn Choo, is one of the top Salsa dancers and Instructors in the world. She has been voted "Top Female Salsa Dancer in Asia" by WorldSalsaNews.com in 2005.
She is the Champion of the Singapore 1st Open Salsa Competition 2005, Champion of Xenbar Professional Salsa Competition 2005.

Sonando, Formed in the 1990's by Guido Broglé, performs throughout France, as well as internationally, around a repertoire of both original compositions, as well as featuring standards given a new lease of life. With a combination of performers originating from countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, Italy, France, Germany and The Netherlands, the resulting mix is an explosive and infectious European Latino extravaganza! |
